On the 75th anniversary of their publication in the Saturday Evening Post, Norman Rockwell's paintings of FDR's Four Freedoms still remain as American icons. The Canfield Gallery will present the story of Norman Rockwell's epic works that galvanized the will of Americans during World War II. Arlington citizens served as the models for these four paintings and several of them traveled around the U.S. promoting the sale of War Bonds to fund the war effort. These and other stories about the dynamic colony of artists, writers and illustrators who lived in Arlington during the middle of the 20th century will be explored on the walls of the gallery. Mark your calendars!
